About the band           

The Coventry City Salvation Army Band was formed in 1882 and now celebrates 125 years of continuous service.

The current Bandmaster, Huw Ellis, was appointed in 2006.

Over the years the band has travelled extensively throughout the UK, Europe and the USA, but wherever the band plays, its desire remains the same; to be used by God to attract, interest and introduce people to the Christian way of life.
 

PEOPLE NEWS

The Coventry City Band has announced that its new Band Sergeant is to be Claire Whitmore.

Claire will enter the band's history books as its first female local officer.

Claire who originates from Wallsend, Tyne and Wear, is married to 1st Baritone player Paul and has two young sons.

The band also wishes to thank Phil Dukes (2nd baritone) for his service over the last couple of years. Phil is taking some time out from the band due to work and family commitments.
